Security

Windows and doors are the obvious entry points targeted by intruders. That’s why security is one of the key considerations when choosing new window and door systems for your home. But you’re in safe hands with Schüco.

All of our systems are tested and certified to high security standards such as PAS 24 and RC 2.

PAS 24

Products that are PAS 24 certified offer enhanced security performance against attacks normally associated with the casual or opportunistic burglar. Only products that pass the rigorous testing process achieve PAS 24 certification, demonstrating the highest security credentials.

RC2

RC 2 stands for Resistance Class 2 and is one of six burglar resistance classes set out in the standard BS EN 1627. This level of resistance protects against manual attacks by the casual burglar using simple tools to break in. This standard is commonly used in areas with an ordinary level of burglary risk.

Secured by Design

Schüco is also a member of the Secured by Design (SBD) official police initiative, meaning our products are designed to help deter and reduce crime, providing an added layer of security to our systems and added peace of mind for you.

You have questions, we have answers

How do low thresholds affect Schüco bi-fold door weather protection?
The weakest point of a bi-fold door is often at the bottom of the door. Schüco offers three threshold options for varying use cases, a fully framed door offers the best protection but is the most intrusive, a completely flush threshold is available but this is generally only recommended for commercial applications where draughts might be an acceptable compromise. Schüco’s buried 15mm threshold is a great option using a custom-made gasket system for excellent weathertightness without needing to step over a large frame.
